Diabetes mellitus 
Let us see about it! 
      It is the group of metabolic disease that affect the blood glucose level due to defect in insulin secretion or insulin action. And the main thing is it increases the blood sugar level. 
Diabetes mellitus has three types: 
Type 1 : insulin dependant diabetes mellitus: 
          In this the insulin level is not enough to uptake the glucose 
Type 2 : non insulin dependant diabetes mellitus 
         In this the insulin resistance is increased, so the insulin receptors not accept the glucose so the glucose level is increased in the blood 
Type 3 : Gestational diabetes mellitus
       It occurs during the pregnancy period
Do you know how it occurs: 
      It occurs mainly due to the pancreas does not produce enough Insulin to uptake glucose . So the glucose level is increased in the blood.
 To reduce it ... Our ways as 
1) yoga
       While doing yoga , the pancreas is stimulated and it produces the insulin and also improves the insulin action.
Asanas: 
 1) Dhanurasana
Procedure
           1) Lie down on your stomach with your feet slightly apart, almost parallel to your hips, and place your arms on the side of your body.
          2)Slowly, fold your knees up and hold your ankles with your hands.
           3)Breathe in and lift your chest off the ground and pull your legs up and stretch it out. You should feel the stretch on your arms and thighs.
           4)Hold the pose for 12-15 seconds, paying attention to your breath as you take long, deep ones.
           5)lowly bring your chest and legs back to the ground, release your hold on the ankles, and relax with your hands on the side. Repeat for a few sets.
 Benefits
        It strengthens the abdomen and it also regulates the pancreas and it helpful for the production of insulin . 
  2) Bhujangasana
Procedure:
           1) Lie on your abdomen and keep your legs straight. 
           2)Keeping your forearms perpendicular to the floor, place your arm on the floor beside the last ribcage. 
           3)Press your arms to lift your body. 
           4)Create pressure on your feet and firmness in your hips. 
           5)Look straight and hold the position for 30-40 seconds with normal breathing.
Benefits
             It strengthens the abdominal muscles and it also regulates the pancreas ana it produces the insulin 
 3) Paschimottanasana
  Procedure:  
           1) Sit down and extend your legs straight. 
            2)Inhale and pull your hands up. 
            3)Bring your hands down and try to touch your toes with your hands without bending your knees. 
            4)Touch your chin to your chest. 
             5)Remain in the pose for 60 seconds with normal breathing.    
Benefits
            In this asana, the abdomen and the thigh undergo pressure, all the abdominal organs are stimulated 
          It stimulates the pancreas also 
4) Viparita karani :
 Procedure
      1)Get a towel, fold it, and sit on it alongside the wall. 
      2)Lay on your back and bring your legs up, and create a 90° angle while touching the wall. 
     3)Relax your head, neck, throat, and chin.
     4)Stretch your arms and keep your palms facing upwards. 
     5)Stay in this pose for 5-10 minutes. 
     6)Post that, slide down your legs slowly.  
     7)Repeat on the other side. 
Benefits:
        It stimulate your pancreas and get your internal organs together. 
        It reduces stress, controls blood pressure, and lowers blood sugar levels. 
         It lowers the blood pressure 
PRANAYAMA
        Pranayama helps to regulate the pancreas and it lowers the blood sugar. And it includes 
    1) Nadi shodhana pranayama 
    2) Bhramari pranayama 
MUDRA
   1) Linga mudra 
   2) Surya mudra
   3) Prana mudra 
     Benefits
          These three mudras boosts our metabolic rates, promote weight loss and reduce the sugar levels in the blood. 
BANDHA:  
1) Uddiyana bandha : 
Procedure: 
        1) Stand with a distance of 1 to 1.5 feet between the legs.
         2)Bend the knees as if one is about to sit in a chair and place the palms firmly on the knees. The pressure should be on the arms so that the abdomen can relax.
         3) Bend the shoulders a little towards the front and the neck slightly downward
         4) Inhale deeply and then exhale either through the nose or mouth. While exhaling, try to pull the muscles of the abdomen inwards. Lift up the ribs a little bit and pull the muscles from within with a gentle push upwards. The muscles of the abdomen must be relaxed at this time, so that they can be pushed up. These results in the muscles of the diaphragm being pushed upwards and a vacuum created in abdomen.This is the final stage of Uddiyan Bandha.
          5) Try to remain firmly in this pose for as long as one can hold the breath out comfortably.
          6) When one needs to inhale slowly release the bandha by releasing the muscles of the abdomen back to the normal position.The diaphragm will also be restored to its normal position.
          7) Relax the strain in the shoulders and neck area and start inhaling gradually.
         8) After inhaling completely, bring the arms by the side and straighten the legs.
  Benefits : 
      Udddiyana bandha creates the negative pressure on the abdomen and contracting the abdomen. This contraction regulates the pancreas. So it is helpful for the reduce the blood sugar. 
DIET
    Easily hunger contractions will happen so kindly have a small amount of food with frequent meals.
    Some natural diets are there to overcome the diabetes mellitus. Let's see about that interesting diets, 
   Foods should be included: 
       1) Diabetic diet : 
                 Diabetic diet means what? Let's see that 
    -Fruits and vegetables
    -Whole grains, such as whole wheat, brown rice, barley, quinoa, and oats
    -Proteins, such as lean meats, chicken, turkey, fish, eggs, nuts, beans, lentils, and tofu
    -Nonfat or low-fat dairy, such as milk, yogurt, and cheese
    These are the foods which reduce the sugar level and the body became healthy 
   There is something it is better to eat fruits better than juice !
Treatment
    For reduce our blood sugar , many natural treatments are available. Here, I will share about it.
      1.Guava leaves decoction
          Pick 4 to 5 fresh guava leaves and wash them properly.
          Boil 2 cups of water in a pan.
          Add guava leaves to the water and boil for 10 minutes.
          Strain the tea in a cup and relish this freshly brewed amazing drink.

          Weekly thrice we should try this guava leaves kasayam. It reduces the blood sugar level.
          These extracts contain rich amounts of antioxidants, vitamin C, and flavonoids.
         2.Amla juice 
            Amla juice contains vitamin C and antioxidants and it is one of the best to reduce the blood sugar level 
            Can be consumed in any form in empty stomach.
  Foods should be avoided : 
         Sugar beverages 
         White bread and pastapasta and white rice
         Fried meats
         Yogurt
         Fruit juice 
         Honey and maple syrup
      These are the foods should be avoided during diabetes time and also reduce the contents to avoid the future time 
 
Key msg to home : 
        Do have regular practice of asanas and keep walking after taking food for atleast 15 to 20 mins. 
        Have a good daily foods with reduced amount of processed foods.
